Hi, Neha Verma, It seems like you are setting the email configuration. please following the steps to find where you are blocked: 1. ping the smtp host ok 2. telnet the smtp port to smtp host ok 3. So, do I need to get this port open for this IP? |

Hi, Neha Veram , Yes, If sending email by zentao, zentao server need be able to communicate with your smtp server. If any problems, welcome back. |

After some changes from my end, I am getting following error now
SMTP Error: Could not authenticate.
Please help. All smtp server enablement is done from my side |

Hi Neha, The message seems like that your connection is ok, but your authentication of smtp is not passed.

Thanks Pedro for all the help, it got fixed for me after some configuration changes. I just got one question that what triggers email notifications at different stages of defects.
